Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Nominated for an Ivor Novello

The nominations for the 2017 Ivor Novello Awards were announced earlier today and we’re thrilled to see Nick Cave and Warren Ellis nominated for the Album Award for the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album ‘Skeleton Tree’.

Nominations are for works released in the UK in 2016. The categories include Best Song Musically and Lyrically, Best Contemporary Song, Album Award, Best Original Film Score and Best Television Soundtrack, as well as PRS for Music Most Performed Work, which is sponsored and compiled by The Ivors sponsor PRS for Music. The 62nd Ivor Novello Awards take place on Thursday 18th May 2017 at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London. The Ivors celebrate, honour and reward excellence in songwriting and composing. Created by BASCA in 1956, they are named in honour of Ivor Novello, Britain’s most successful and distinguished theatrical composer at the time, and represent the pinnacle of musical achievement and peer recognition in the music industry.
