AIM Awards 2013 Nominees Announced

AIM Independent Music Awards 2013The shortlisted nominees were announced last night for the AIM Independent Music Awards 2013.

Many an awards show hands out gongs to the best-selling or priority artists, but the indies have always measured success a little differently. The AIM Independent Music Awards recognises the real heroes of music; those who do things their own way, make phenomenal music and inspire us all with their creativity, commitment & brilliance.

Proper are delighted to be representing three of the nominated acts, Bellowhead for Best Live Act, Sam Lee for Hardest Working Artist and Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds whose Push The Sky Away album is nominated for Independent Album Of The Year.

Now in its third year, the AIM Awards has honoured a fantastic array of independent artists, labels and industry figures such as: Björk, Adele, Edwyn Collins, 4AD, The Prodigy, Stolen Recordings, Frank Turner, Enter Shikari, Black Butter Records, First Aid Kit, Alt-J, SBTRKT, John Robb, Daniel Miller (Mute), Laurence Bell (Domino), 65daysofstatic & many, many more.

AIM - Nominees SamplerThe 2013 AIM Independent Music Awards will take place on 3rd September, at The Brewery in London and will be hosted by indie champions Steve Lamacq (BBC 6Music) and Huw Stephens (Radio 1).

The AIM Nominees Sampler features ten tracks from a variety of this years nominees and will be available from all participating Record Store Day independent music stores for free whilst stock lasts.
